Partizan NIS sign a 2-year deal with Rashawn Thomas

Partizan NIS confirmed the signing of American power forward Rashawn Thomas! The two sides agreed on a 2-year contract.

Rashawn Thomas spent four years at the Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, this 24-yar old player went to the NBA G-League to play for the Oklahoma City Blue for which he averaged 13.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

The next summer Thomas decided to go overseas and he joined Italian team Dinamo Sassari. It was actually his excellent season in Italy that caught attention of Partizan NIS management. Rashawn Thomas was one of the best players of Dinamo Sassari in the 2018/19 campaign and he helped the team win the FIBA Europe Cup and reach the Italian Championship Finals.  

Thomas averaged 15.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in FIBA Europe Cup, while he set the new competition record by making 40 points, 16 rebounds and 54 index rating in a single game. He averaged 12.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per match in the Italian Championship.

Rashawn Thomas is the second newcomer in Partizan NIS this summer, after the club had previously completed the transfer of Nemanja Gordić.

Rašon Tomas je novi košarkaš Partizana

Doskorašnji igrač Dinama iz Sasarija, novo je pojačanje crno-belih.

Rašon Tomas, 203 centimetara visoki krilni centar, potpisao je dvogodišnji ugovor sa Partizanom NIS. Doskorašnji igrač Dinama iz Sasarija, rođen je 1994. godine, a u sezoni 2018/19 je sa italijanskim timom osvojio FIBA Evropa kup i igrao finale Serije A.

U dresu Dinama, Tomas je u Evropa kupu beležio 15,5 poena i 6,4 skoka po utakmici uz rekord FIBA Evropa kupa, kada je na jednoj utakmici zabeležio 40 poena i 16 skokova i imao indeks 54. U seriji A, Tomas je u proseku beležio 12,5 poena i imao 6,6 skokova po utakmici.

Sezonu ranjie, novi košarkaš Partizana NIS je igrao za razvojni tim Oklahome u NBA G ligi, gde je u proseku beležio 13,9 poena i 7,2 skoka po meču.
