The World of Stats: Ivan Ramljak and Branko Lazić made it to the Top 10

Rade Zagorac (Partizan NIS) played his 100th game in the ABA League last weekend. Zagorac spent 3 seasons in Mega Bemax and has made 62 appearances for the Pink troops, while this is his 2nd season in Partizan NIS and has so far played 38 games for the black & whites. Rade Zagorac has so far scored 1139 points, 492 rebounds, 230 assists and 122 steals in the ABA League.

Filip Krušlin (Cedevita Olimpija) scored 4 three pointers in the match against Zadar, so he now has 217 three-pointers in in his ABA League career stats. Krušlin has therefore made it to the the Top 20 of the All-Time 3-pointers Leaders list, as he moved in front of Davor Kus (216 three-pointers).

Ivan Ramljak (Krka) made 6 rebounds in the away match against Igokea and has therefore reached the 10th place on the All-Time Rebounds Leaders list. Ramljak has made 908 rebounds so far in his ABA League career, he moved in front of Predrag Samardžiski (906), while he needs 29 rebounds to reach Jure Lalić (937) who is currently holding the 9th place on the All-Time Rebounds Leaders list.

Speaking about rebounds, Novica Veličković (Partizan NIS) grabbed 4 rebounds in the last-round derby match against Budućnost VOLI and has become only the 12th player in the history of ABA League to make 900+ rebounds (902).

Nikola Ivanović (Budućnost VOLI) made 6 assists in the match against Partizan NIS and has therefore moved up by two spots to reach the 11th place on the All-Time Assists Leaders list. Ivanović made his way past Nikola Otašević (503 assists) and Marko Marinović (503 assists) as he now has 506 assists in his ABA League career stats. Ivanović needs 7 more assists to reach Siniša Štemberger (513) who is currently holding the 10 place on the All-Time Assists Leaders list.

Uroš Luković (Mornar) has played a “perfect match” against Crvena zvezda mts as he was 10/10 for 2-points. In the same game, Uroš Luković (Mornar) also had 6 blocks, which was his 4th time in the ongoing season to make 6+ blocks in a single game. Also, that was the 5th time in Luković's career to have 6+ blocks in a single game, while only Slavko Vraneš has a better score than Luković. Vraneš had 6 games with 6+ blocks during his ABA career.

Damir Markota (Mornar) made 5 defensive rebounds in the match against Crvena zvezda mts, so he now has a total number of 556 defensive rebounds in his ABA League career. Markota has therefore reached the 17th place on the All-Time Defensive Rebounds Leaders list, as he moved in front of Ante Tomić (552 defensive rebounds). Markota needs 8 defensive rebounds to tie his score with Marton Bader (564) who is currently holding the 16th place on the All-Time Defensive Rebounds Leaders list.

Branko Lazić (Crvena zvezda mts) made 2 steals in the match against Mornar and has therefore reached the 10th place on the All-Time Steals Leaders list with the total number of 251 steals.

Rashad Vaughn (Igokea) made 8 three-pointers in the match against Krka, which is the 2019/20 single-game record. In the entire history of the ABA League, only 6 times we witnessed some player score more than 8 three-pointers in a single game. 2x Teemu Rannikko (10 three-pointers and 9 three-pointers), Josip Sesar (10 three-pointers), Marko Simonovski (9 three-pointers), Milan Gurović (9 three-pointers) and Filip Čović (9 three-pointers).

Special mention

The start of February is obviously a good time for 3-point shooters, as Cedevita scored 23 three-pointers against Zagreb on February 6, 2010 which is still the all-time single-game record in the ABA League.
