Talented Dan Duščak is coming to Ljubljana

From the Spanish capital Madrid, a talented and young player Dan Duščak is coming to Cedevita Olimpija, and he will stay in Ljubljana for the next four seasons.

Dan Duščak, a young and talented Slovenian player who will turn 18 on July 2, is moving from Real Madrid to Cedevita Olimpija. The son of the former Dragon Slavko Duščak, signed a four-year contract with the Ljubljana's team, and Dan has already joined the practices in the Stožice Hall.

Duščak moved to Madrid in 2017 from his home Grosuplje and passed the basketball school of the Madrid club. In 2019, the young Duščak joined the preparations of the Real Madrid senior team and, among other things, made his debut in the royal club's jersey in the preparation games as part of the preparations for the 2019/20 season.

In his young career, Duščak has played twice at the Adidas Next Generation tournament organized by the Euroleague. In the 2018/19 season, he played in eight games and scored a total of 16 points, and a season later, he averaged 6.8 points in four games.

In 2017, Duščak played in the U16 European Championship of Division A and in seven games played nine minutes on average. He averaged 2.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists.

As he arrived in Ljubljana, Duščak told: “The feelings are great. Signing a contract with Cedevita Olimpija is a big thing for me personally and for my family. I can progress at the club as a player and as a person. In joining Cedevita Olimpija, I see only positive things. I can’t wait to wear the Dragons jersey, but at the same time I can’t wait for the support of the fans from the stands.”

Nadarjeni Dan Duščak prihaja v Ljubljano

V Cedevita Olimpijo se iz španske prestolnice seli mladi nadarjeni slovenski košarkar Dan Duščak, ki bo v Ljubljani ostal prihodnje štiri sezone.

Dan Duščak, mladi in nadarjeni slovenski košarkar, ki bo 2. julija dopolnil 18 let, se iz kraljevskega Real Madrida seli v Cedevito Olimpijo. Sin nekdanjega Zmaja Slavka Duščaka, je z ljubljanskim moštvom podpisal štiriletno pogodbo, Dan pa se je že pridružil treningom članskega moštva Ljubljančanov.

Duščak se je leta 2017 v Madrid preselil iz domačega KK Grosuplje in prestal košarkarsko šolo madridskega kluba. Leta 2019 se je mladi Duščak pridružil pripravam članskega moštva Real Madrida in med drugim na pripravljalnih tekmah v sklopu priprav na sezono 2019/20, tudi debitiral v dresu kraljevskega kluba.

V svoji mladi karieri se je Duščak dvakrat že predstavil na Adidasovem turnirju prihodnje generacije, ki ga organizira Evroliga. V sezoni 2018/19 je zaigral na osmih tekmah in skupno dosegel 16 točk, sezono kasneje pa je na štirih tekmah v povprečju beležil 6,8 točke.

Leta 2017 je Duščak zaigral na evropskem prvenstvu divizije A za fante do 16. leta, in na sedmih tekmah v malo več kot devetih minutah, ki jih je preživel na parketu, dosegal 2,9 točke, 1,7 skoke in 0,6 asistence.

Ob prihodu v Ljubljano je Duščak dejal: „Občutki so odlični. Podpis pogodbe s Cedevito Olimpijo je velika stvar zame osebno in za mojo družino. V klubu lahko napredujem kot igralec in kot oseba. Ob pridružitvi Cedeviti Olimpiji vidim zgolj pozitivne stvari. Komaj čakam, da oblečem dres Zmajev, hkrati pa komaj čakam tudi podporo navijačev s tribun.“
