ABA teams to start Eurocup campaigns

ABA League will have two teams in Eurocup this season - Budućnost VOLI and Union Olimpija. They will start their European campaigns on Wednesday evening.

Last year Budućnost VOLI and Union Olimpija reached the LAST 32 phase of Eurocup, but they did not manage to go any further. Still, they will have another try in this season.

Budućnost VOLI will play in the first round against an old rival - Banvit. Recall that these two teams met in the LAST 32 phase of the previous season and the Turkish squad was victorious in both clashes. Budućnost VOLI will have a chance to make a little revenge in front of their fans in Podgorica (Wednesday, 19:00), and the positive thing for the home team is that they are approaching this game after three wins in a row in ABA League.

Union Olimpija are also about to begin their Eurocup journey from home court. The Dragons will host Dolomiti Energia Trento (Wednesday, 21:00), Italian squad which got famous by defeating powerful Milano at the start of Serie A. Still, boys led by Gašper Potočnik are in good rhythm and they definitely have the quality to overpower this tricky rival.
