Game recap: Knowing that they stayed without the starting center just before this game, Mega Leks were kind of aware that they would lose the battle under the baskets. So, they needed some other solution to defeat Cibona. And, they found it in aggression. Home players were all over the court, making constant pressure on the visiting side. The outcome was many, many missed shots of Cibona. Mega Leks used that to keep the lead almost throughout the whole match and to eventually score a win.
Key moments: When Cibona finally took over the lead in the middle of the fourth quarter (57:58) Dejan Milojević called for a time-out. Head coach of Mega Leks made quite a speech to their players who returned on the court fired up to regain the control over the match! They made 8:0 run to escape to 65:58… They stayed in front until the end of the game.
Man of the match: This was the game of Danilo Nikolić. Young power forward was not afraid to take responsibility in crucial moments, while he also played pretty good defense. At the end, Nikolić finished the match with 20 points and he was the top scorer in Mega Leks.
Can"t trick the stats: Cibona had 40 attempts for 3pts! Forty!!! They made only 9! Two more and they would have won the match…
