Igor Jovović left Budućnost VOLI!

Igor Jovović is no longer head coach of Budućnost VOLI. He resigned from that position due to private reasons.

Budućnost VOLI confirmed that two sides have parted ways. This is the official statement published by the club:

"We announce that Igor Jovović has resigned as head coach of Budućnost VOLI. He informed the club's President and the Board that he is unable to work with the team in the following period due to private reasons.

Our cooperation in the previous two and half years was at the highest level. With Igor on the bench, our club achieved its best score in the history of the regional competition. We finished the last regular season at the second place and presented ourselves as a serious candidate for the Euroleague.

Regardless of the fact that we are having excellent results in this season as well, as we are currently at the first place in ABA League and that we have chances to reach the second stage of Eurocup, we completely understand and accept decision made by Jovović.

At the end, we can only express our gratitude to Jovović for everything he has done for the club. From the bottom of our hears we wish him all the best in future career and in his private life."

Igor Jovović napustio Budućnost VOLI!

Igor Jovovič više nije trener Budućnosti VOLI. On je podneo ostavku na tu funkciju iz privatnih razloga.

Klub je povodom ovog slučaja izdao zvanično saopštenje koje vam prenosimo u celosti:

"Obavještavamo vas da je Igor Jovović, podnio ostavku na funkciju trenera KK Budućnost VOLI. Predsjednika i upravu kluba je informisao o nemogućnosti da u narednom periodu vodi ekipu zbog privatnih obaveza koje su mu prioritetne.

Rastanak trenera Jovovića sa klubom, kao i saradnja u proteklom periodu, bili su na najvišem nivou. Protekle 2,5 godine, sa Igorom na kormilu Budućnost Volija, obilježene su najvećim uspjehom Kluba u takmičenjima ABA lige, od njenog osnivanja. Prošle godine smo se našli na drugom mjestu, kao ozbiljan kandidat za ulazak u Euroligu.

Bez obzira na to što i ove sezone bilježimo odlične rezultate, budući da smo na prvoj poziciji ABA lige i da smo sinoćnom pobjedom ostvarili veće šanse za prolaz u Eurokup, u potpunosti razumijemo i prihvatamo odluku Igora Jovovića.

Na kraju, ostaje samo da mu se u ime Kluba i Uprave, toplo zahvalimo. KK Budućnost Voli mu od srca želi sreću u budućem privatnom I profesionalnom životu."
