Story of the game: The clash of two not truly dominant forces of the past several rounds in the ABA League will take place in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, as Union Olimpija will host Metalac Farmakom. While the Dragons have lost five games in a row in the regional competition, the guests have won only one out of their last five and lost two in a row lately, so the game will represent an end to one negative streak and extend the other.
However, in the home camp, there are a few reasons to be optimistic. While they have won their Eurocup game against Nanterre during the week, they also expect the return of injured Zack Wright to the court, which would give another dimension to the team led by Gašper Potočnik.
On the other side, Metalac will still miss their injured big man Đorđe Majstorović.
Match-up in focus: When they play well, usually their teams are achieving excellent results - this time young sharp-shooters Miha Lapornik and Dušan Kutlešić from shooting guard positions on both sides will be in focus. Perhaps their scoring efficiency is the one that can turn the flow of the game one or the other way.
