Former Montenegro national team head coach Luka Pavićević is the new head coach of Budućnost VOLI. The agreement on cooperation of the club with the 47-year old tactician, who began his playing career in blue jersey has been reached on Friday evening.

Former Montenegro national team head coach Luka Pavićević is the new head coach of Budućnost VOLI. The agreement on cooperation of the club with the 47-year old tactician, who began his playing career in blue jersey has been reached on Friday evening.

As a player he achieved the greatest achievements with Jugoplastika Split, with which he became the champion of Europe three times.

He began his coaching career at OKK Belgrade in 2003 and afterwards led Atlas, Hemofarm, Panionios, Alba and Roanne. With Alba he won the German championship trophy in 2008, while a season later he won the national cup trophy.

He was the head coach of Montengro national team from 2011 until 2014, when the EuroBasket 2015 Second Qualifying Round has ended. He was also the head coach of Serbia and Montenegro U20 national team and won the bronze medal with the tea at European championship in Russia.

Pavićević will replace Igor Jovović at the bench of Budućnost VOLI. Jovović resigned as head coach a day after the victory over Aris in Eurocup due to personal reasons.

Luka Pavićević novi trener Budućnosti VOLI

Bivši selektor crnogorske reprezentacije Luka Pavićević biće novi trener Budućnosti VOLI. Dogovorena je saradnja kluba sa 47-godišnjim stručnjakom koji je uspješnu igračku karijeru počeo u Plavom dresu.

Kao igrač najveće uspjehe postigao je u timu Jugoplastike iz Splita sa kojom je tri puta bio prvak Evrope.

Trenersku karijeru počeo je 2003. u OKK Beogradu, a vodio je još Atlas, Hemofarm, Panionios, Albu i Roan. Sa Albom je osvojio titulu 2008. godine, a sezonu kasnije i nacionalni kup.

Predvodio je Crnu Goru od decembra 2011. godine do septembra 2014. Kada su okončane kvalifikacije za EP u Francuskoj. Bio je i selektor mlade reprezentacije Srbije i Crne Gore 2005. godine, sa kojom je osvojio bronzu na šampionatu Evrope u Rusiji.

Pavićević će na klupi zameniti dosadašnjeg trenera Igora Jovovića, koji je dan nakon pobede nad Arisom u Evrokupu podneo ostavku.
