Story of the game: Krka was out of luck last week when they suffered an overtime defeat against Mega Leks. Still, boys from Novo mesto showed that they can play against the top teams from the league and that is very important for them before this round. Because, on Monday evening, Krka are about to face non other that the reigning regional champions - Crvena zvezda Telekom.
It is enough to look just at the latest Euroleague games to realize how difficult task Krka have in front of themselves. Crvena zvezda Telekom outplayed such teams as Real Madrid and Khimki in the previous two weeks and they are approaching this game in very high spirits. On top of that, the red and whites will be significantly stronger this time as Marcus Williams will play his first game in ABA League in this season.
Match-up in focus: Jure Lalić is indeed in tremendous form. He scored 20+ points in four out of the last six games and he should once again be option No. 1 for Krka offensively. Still, on the other side will be Maik Zirbes, the MVP of the last round in Euroleague! Enough said...
