Cedevita have qualified for TOP 16!!!

Historic night in Zagreb! Cedevita have qualified for the Euroleague TOP 16 stage, despite home defeat against Emporio Armani!

Cedevita had two paths toward the TOP 16 stage before the game against Emporio Armani. The first one was, obviously, a victory. The second one was a defeat... But, with less than 9 points, as the Zagreb crew triumphed in Milano by 77:68...

After a very tough battle in Dražen Petrović Hall, Cedevita suffered the best defeat in their history! Because the result on the scoreboard was 82:85.. Only 3 points of margin, which meant only one thing - Cedevita have qualified for the TOP 16 phase!

The last minute of the game was super exciting. Emporio Armani was up by 7 and had the ball. Charles Jenkins scored a long range two-pointer... But, it turned out that he failed to beat the buzzer! Shot-clock violation! There were 40 seconds remaining, Cedevita had the possession... Fran Pilepić scored a three-pointer!!! That was it!

Crvena zvezda Telekom could not upset mighty Fenerbahce in Istanbul. The red and whites were worthy opponent to one of the Euroleague top favorites for three quarters, still they could not hold it till the end. The hosts opened the last period with 12:0 run and secured a win. The good thing is that Crvena zvezda Telekom are still in the race for the TOP 16 stage. If they win against Bayern next week, ABA League will have two representatives among the best 16 clubs in Europe!
