Game recap: Probably the most exciting game of the ABA League season so far was seen in Novo mesto, as Krka needed to score no less than 103 points in no less than 50 minutes in order to beat their curse of the games against Tajfun at home court and to get away with the victory. The hero of the game is no other than Mirko Mulalić, who scored an unbelievable three pointer from 8 metres to take his team into the second overtime, after Tajfun have previously had already a double digit lead.
Boban Tomić and Matic Rebec debuted for Krka at the game. The first one impressed with 8 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals in his first game for new team, while Tomić only spent 4 minutes on court.
Key moments: Despite the fact that Tajfun already had a double digit lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter - they led 67:53 in 31st minute - Krka managed to turn the game around. They caught the guests with 35 seconds left in the regular part of the game and forced an overtime. In the first overtime, Tajfun was again in front for major part of the game, but Mirko Mulalić scored a three pointer from 8 metres with 10 seconds remaining to force a second overtime, in which their team simply prevailed over Tajfun with 18:11 and deservedly celebrated a triumph.
Man of the match: Perhaps he wasn"t the go-to guy in critical moments, but Stefan Sinovec was simply brilliant during this game. After 40 minutes, that he spent on court, he collected 31 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block and earned himself the valuation of 31 and the man of the match honour.
Can"t trick the stats: Tajfun were not weak in shooting, but Krka was fantastic from the perimeter this time. They tried 28 three point shots and scored 13 of them (46%), which was the key for their fantastic victory in the end.
