ABA League 16th round, Thursday, 24.12.2015:
Where? Pionir Hall, Belgrade
When? 15:00
Story of the game: Two famous old rivals, which have plenty of exciting mutual encounters behind them in regional competition will meet for the second time this season in ABA League, as Crvena zvezda Telekom will host Zadar in Pionir Hall, Belgrade.
The game will provide both teams with an opportunity to stand up after the recent defeats against Budućnost VOLI and Krka, respectively.
Of course Crvena zvezda Telekom are the favourites, due to their quality and reputation - however, in Zadar they believe that they can have a chance due to mental exhaustion of the home side, which already played 2 big and extremely prestigious games over the past week.
If Zadar win, they will find themselves at 5th spot in the standings again, together with Krka, while Crvena zvezda Telekom desperately need to win in order to stay in the race for Top 2 spots in the standings at the end of the regular season.
Match-up in focus: Although they do not cover the same playing position, there will be one interesting battle on the court in terms of shot blocking - Filip Kraljević has been the master of blocks in the regional competition throughout past few seasons and this time he will have a big competition in Quincy Miller. Both of them are currently among the top five shot blockers of the league with Miller averaging 1.78 and Kraljević 1.27 per game. Which one will be most convincing this time?
