Former NBA center Ratko Varda lands in Nikšić

Experienced center Ratko Varda, who played for several ABA League teams before, from Crvena zvezda Telekom and Partizan NIS, through Union Olimpija and Radnički Kragujevac, until his last ABA League episode with Mega Leks in 2013/14, has agreed to cooperate with Sutjeska, that is currently placed on the last spot in the ABA League standings.
The player, that also played in the NBA during his career, is coming to Nikšić from Macedonia, where he began this season in the ranks of Kožuv. For this team he averaged 13 points alongside 7 rebounds in the Macedonian national championship.

Sutjeska je pojačala svoju centarsku liniju na prelazu u novu godinu sa iskusnim centrom, koji u svojoj biografiji ima i iskustvo iz najjače svetske košarkaške lige, NBA.
Za saradnju sa trenutno poslednjeplasiranom ekipom lige Sutjeskom dogovorio se iskusni centar Ratko Varda, koji je u svojoj karijeri igrao za nekoliko timova u ABA ligi, od Crvene zvezde Telekom i Partizana NIS, preko Union Olimpije i kragujevačkog Radničkog, do Mega Leksa, za koji je igrao u sezoni 2013/14.
Igrač, koji se za vreme svoje karijere oprobao i u NBA ligi, dolazi u Nikšić iz Makedonije, gde je ovu sezonu počeo u redovima Kožuva, za koji je u proseku postizao 13 poena i 7 skokova u makedonskom nacionalnom prvenstvu.
