Overtime defeat for Cibona in FIBA Europe Cup

Thrilling game in Zagreb and overtime defeat for Cibona in the clash against Le Havre. Ante Žižić missed a buzzer-beating shot that could have brought a win for his team...

Cibona was on the verge of making perhaps the biggest comeback in FIBA Europe Cup in this season… But, they missed the final shot and then lost the home game against Le Havre after overtime.

The French squad were dominating the game for 30 minutes. They had a huge lead before the last quarter - 84:66! However, Cibona then almost performed a miraculous comeback! Almost, because the home team managed to tie the score at 94:94 and then had 2 seconds to take the win…

Head coach Damir Mulaomerović called for a time-out so that his team could have the ball at half-court, Nebojša Joksimović made a pass to Ante Žižić who was at the free-throw line... But, young center missed a long-range two-pointer for the win. Unfortunately, Le Havre were much better in the overtime and they scored a win in additional five minutes.

There is also one additional thing to be mentioned. Cibona had EIGHT players with double digits in this game! Filip Krušlin scored 18 points, Ivan Siriščević added 15, Marin Rozić, Nebojša Joksimović and Andrija Žižić all had 12 points each, Nik Slavica and Ante Žižić made 11 points each, while James Florence finished the match with 10 points.
