ABA League 21st round, Sunday, 24.1.2016:
Sutjeska - MEGA LEKS 68:73 (13:19, 19:15, 18:18, 18:21)
Game recap: Mega Leks have grabbed another pair of points on the road in Nikšić and they did it after a dramatic game against Sutjeska, which was decided no earlier than in the very final minutes. Igor Jovović spent his first game at the bench of Sutjeska, but his arrival did not help the home side to grab two points against one of the top four teams of the league and to move away from the very bottom of the league standings.
Key moments: Not often do we have a chance to see thrillers like this one. Mega Leks entered the last minute with only a 2-point advantage over the home side, but managed to protect their lead and even increase it a bit until the end. It was Alpha Kaba, who came up with perhaps a game winning block over Brion Rush at the beginning of final minute. Rush was blocked in his attempt to tie the score from a fast break and… as it turned out, Sutjeska did not manage to score at all after that.
Man of the match: Double-double performance by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot earned the Frenchman the title of the man of the match. He finished the game with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and is rightfully named the best player of the clash.
Can"t trick the stats: Mega Leks were dominant in the air. Period. They grabbed no less than 51 (yes, fifty one) rebounds compared to 31 of Sutjeska. Every discussion about the main reasons for such an outcome end here.
