They did it! Cibona qualified for the Round of 16!

What a night in FIBA Europe Cup! Cibona defeated Le Havre on the road and qualified for the next stage of the competition thanks to a single point!

Cibona will play in the FIBA Europe Cup Round of 16! It was just a spectacular last round in which all 4 teams from Group S finished the stage with the same number of points. So, the overall points ratio was the decisive factor...

But, let us start from the beginning. Cibona knew that they need to triumph in France against Le Havre and after a thrilling 40 minutes they did it - 93:92! But, one more thing was necessary for Cibona to claim the second spot. In the other game in Group S, Pieno Zvaigzdes needed to defeat Energia, but with no more than 15 points... Now take a look at the score from Romania: Energia - Pieno Zvaigzdes 86:101!!! A perfect score for Cibona!

At the end, Energia took the top spot with the overall points ratio +11 (509:498), Cibona came second with the points ratio of -2 (550:552), Pieno Zvaigzdes finished the race at the third spot with the overall points ratio -3 (536:539), while Le Havre ended up at the bottom of the table with -6 (516:522)!

At the same time, Krka finished their FIBA Europe Cup journey with a home defeat against ASVEL...
