Story of the game: In Nikšić, Sutjeska are about to host Krka in what will be their attempt to beat the Novo mesto side for the second time this season and extend their hope of avoiding relegation from the elite regional basketball competition.
Basketball is the number one topic in Nikšić right now and it is not a surprise since perhaps the decisive match of the season is coming up for Igor Jovović"s squad. If they win the game, they are still in the race, if not, their chances of staying in the ABA League will be rather poor.
It will not be an easy task for the home side, despite the packed stands and excellent support from fans, which everyone is expecting, since ahead of the game they were left without their starting center Ratko Varda, who left the team.
On the other side, Krka are packed with optimism and enthusiasm, after they managed to return to the winning track last round at home against Igokea. They have escaped from the danger zone last round but, in order to keep it that way, only a victory counts for the team, led by Vladimir Anzulović. Especially, since they do not have the best mutual scores against the teams that are currently placed at or near the very bottom.
Match-up in focus: One of the best centers of the league, Jure Lalić, is coming to town and that will be a proper challenge for domestic big man Vukota Pavić, who will be the main force in the paint after Varda"s departure. If he can help Sutjeska to create and maintain balance under both rims throughout the game, their mission to triumph would be a lot easier to accomplish.
