Big day for Laktaši – Zvezda coming to tow

In Sunday ABA League opener, Igokea will host Crvena zvezda Telekom in Laktaši sports hall. As usually, when the red and white come to Laktaši, it will be a true basketball festival. Also, it will be a day, when a former player of both teams Milan Dozet will become immortal - his jersey will be retired by Igokea.

Story of the game: Igokea will host Crvena zvezda Telekom in the 23rd round of the ABA League and it will be a glorious occasion for the teams and their fans for many reasons. Firstly, of course for the large fan base of the red and white in the region, which guarantees a true spectacle, but also due to a special ceremony.

The jersey of former ABA League veteran, which used to play for both teams Milan Dozet, will be retired at the game and this way Igokea will honour their former captain, which led their team towards the first place in the regular season and the participation at the 2012/13 ABA League Final Four tournament.

As far as the game is concerned, it will be an important competitive encounter for both sides, as Igosi still haven"t gotten completely out of the danger zone near the standings" bottom and need the win to secure themselves a calm finish of the season. While on the other hand, Dejan Radonjić"s squad still haven"t given it up on reaching the second place at the end of the regular season and securing themselves a home court advantage in the playoffs.

To achieved that, they must not allow themselves any more slips until the end of the season. However, in the first part of the season, against Igokea, at home court, they were not successful. Can they improve their impression this time?

Match-up in focus: It will be a wonderful matchup at the point guard position, as almost everything in Igokea"s game depends on experienced Vuk Radivojević, a former Crvena zvezda Telekom captain. As a point guard, he of course takes care of making his teammates hot, however he also has the ability and the "licence” to score and he does it often. On the other side, Stefan Jović will try to prove that he can stop him and to confirm that he is undisputedly one of the best at his position in the league.
