ABA League 24th round, Sunday, 14.2.2016:

CRVENA ZVEZDA TELEKOM - SUTJESKA

Where? Pionir Hall, Belgrade

When? 17:00

Story of the game: Crvena zvezda Telekom are set to host Sutjeska in the 24th round of the ABA League. While the favourites on paper are clear - the home red and white squad that edged out Cedevita in the ABA League clash in the Euroleague during the week, it will be also an extremely important clash for both sides.

Crvena zvezda Telekom are chasing - who else but Cedevita - in the battle for the final 2nd place in the standings at the end of the regular season, which would give them a home court advantage in the playoffs. In order to achieve it, they of course must not slip anymore until the end… and hope that Cedevita do so.

On the other hand, Sutjeska have found themselves in a must-win situation, as they are currently the last before last in the standings, only one win from the very bottom, and one win above the teams that currently appear to be in a safe zone. It is do or die for the Igor Jovović"s squad so they need to try and to show some magic in order to try to upset the reigning regional league champions.

Match-up in focus: Đoko šalić knows Pionir Hall very well - he used to play there back in the times when he was still a member of Crvena zvezda Telekom"s arch rivals Partizan NIS and of course, he remembers well how it feels to win in the Belgrade"s temple of basketball. Can this experience help him to perform at least an even battle with one of the best centers of the league - Maik Zirbes?
