ABA TV - Tadija Dragićević: "Fill the gym, let's do it together"

The top scorer of Budućnost VOLI Tadija Dragićević invited all fans to come to Morača Hall on Monday evening and help the team achieve a win at the start of the ABA League Playoffs.

Budućnost VOLI finished the ABA League 2015/16 Regular Season with impressive score of 23 wins and only 3 defeats. What are your impressions after such a successful journey?

"Yes, our overall score looks really convincing and I think we deserved that 1st place in the regular season. I would like to congratulate my teammates and the whole coaching staff with Luka Pavićević at the helm, while I also want to thank our fans for giving us huge support throughout the season. We have made a great result, but now we are in front of the Playoffs, which is a totally different competition than the regular season..."

Budućnost VOLI will play against Mega Leks in the ABA League Semi-Finals. How would you rate your next rivals?

"Mega Leks are a very good team, while they are also in a great form. After all, they have recently won the National Cup. Head coach Dejan Milojević have done a fantastic job in the previous three years. He has created a great system and it has brought them the very first trophy in the club's history. They are a very young and talented crew, while all those wins have given them extra confidence. Mega Leks have nothing to lose and they are coming here to defeat us. My experience tells me that these games are the most difficult, as everyone expects us to write down an easy win. We are not running away from the role of a clear favorite, but we need to confirm it down on the court. I am inviting our fans to fill the gym to the last seat and to help us achieve a valuable win."

Speaking about your individual performance, it was indeed a fantastic season. You were named twice the MVP of the round, while you also seized one MVP of the month award. On top of that you are the top scorer of Budućnost VOLI...

"I think I made the right move by coming to Budućnost VOLI last summer. This is a great place for any sportsman, especially for basketball players as Podgorica is a basketball city. I am very satisfied with my performance, but you know what - Everything is much easier when your team is winning. All my teammates are giving their best in each game, and we want to make a step forward in comparison the the last season."
