Story of the game: The regular season champions Budućnost VOLI will host Mega Leks in the opening game of the Playoffs and for sure Morača will be packed by loud supporters of the blue and white team. Due to the excellent regular season appearances (they finished the first part of the season with a 23-3 record), nothing less than the victory will be expected from Luka Pavićević"s squad by the home fans and they will for sure do everything in their power to satisfy them.
In the regular season, Budućnost VOLI prevailed twice over Mega Leks, with the score of 71:56 at home and 83:81 on the road.
However, unluckily for them, the regular part of the season is now history and the only advantage that they gained during the 26 rounds, is the option of an additional game at home court, in case the semi-final series "goes to overtime” in case of a 1:1 tie after the two games.
So, Mega Leks will be searching for a way to open a whole new chapter on Monday night and to upset the home team and the crowd by their side. They have proven, that they possess the ability to play well in hostile environment several times this season and they will try to confirm it again. Their disadvantage this time around will certainly be injuries, since three of their players - Alpha Kaba, Ognjen Jaramaz, Aleksandar Aranitović, Novak Musić and Radovan Đoković - will be forced to miss the clash.
Match-up in focus: Until last season, he was playing in Podgorica for Budućnost VOLI and he is coming back this time to prove his class and to try to beat his former mentor Omar Cook. Can Nikola Ivanović make the home side to be sorry for letting him go last summer?
