Before the beginning of the semi-final series against Cedevita, Crvena zvezda Telekom forward Marko Simonović spoke about his expectations fort he ABA League TV. Watch what he told us in the video.
The semi-final series are about to start in the ABA League and you are heading towards it after an important win in the Euroleague against Panathinaikos. Will it be hard for you to focus on new competition after that success?
"We just need to find the way to focus. ABA League is a priority for us and now it's the time when the battle for trophy begins. It will not be easy in the semi-final series against Cedevita, especially in the first game, for which we only have three days to prepare ourselves. I believe that we will be focused. We have been thinking only about Cedevita ever since the game against Panathinaikos ended, since it is extremely important for us."
You had several ups and downs this season and finished the regular season with style, by taking the second place away from Cedevita with an amazing ending. Are you satisfied with the season so far?
"I belive that we have played a good season so far. Our only failure so far was the national cup competition, but due to strainous tempo of the season this was expected. Everyone keeps congratulating us for our excellent results in the Euroleague and now we need to fight for the trophy in the ABA League, which is the priority for us."
You know Cedevita very well, since you have faced them no less than three times this season. What is your opinion about the team from Zagreb?
"Cedevita are a brilliant team. They have an excellent coach. They have abundance of experience and know how to play. They have at least two great players at every playing position, as well as the ABA League Regular Season MVP. It will not be easy for us to face them, for sure."
