Magnificent Cedevita outplayed Fenerbahce

Cedevita have demonstrated class after being eliminated from the ABA League Playoffs, by knocking down Fenerbahce in the 12th round of the Euroleague Top 16 with no less than 30 points of margin! A day earlier Zvezda were defeated by Lokomotiv Kuban on the road in Krasnodar.

On the court of Dražen Petrović arena, the ne-way traffic took place since the very beginning and as it turned out later, it did not change until the end of the game. After the 10 minutes, Cedevita were ahead by 9 points, at half time by 14 and before the beginning of the last quarter by 28. When the final buzzer appeared, Cedevita were the ones to celebrate a convincing victory by no less than 30 points against the Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce (89:59).

Young big man Marko Arapović was the top scorer for the ABA League Semi-finalists of the season with 18 points on his account, while Miro Bilan followed him with 15.

A day before, Crvena zvezda Telekom got defeated by Lokomotiv Kuban in the 12^th round of the Euroleague TOP 16 stage.

The red and whites just did not have enough strength to make another major upset in the Euroleague. Just two days after advancing to the ABA League Playoffs, Crvena zvezda Telekom faced Lokomotiv Kuban and suffered a defeat.

The Belgrade crew were a worthy opponent to the Russian powerhouse in the first half, however then they "ran out of fuel” and let the home team escape to a pretty big margin. Lokomotiv Kuban were very aware that Crvena zvezda Telekom have had quite a busy schedule recently, so they opened the second half with very aggressive play on both ends of the court… You can see the outcome.

Still, Crvena zvezda Telekom have two more match points. They need to score just one win in the remaining two rounds to secure a ticket for the Euroleague Playoffs.
