The 2015/16 ABA League season Top Prospect Ante Žižić of Cibona spoke for the ABA League TV about the award, that he received by the head coaches, fans and the ABA League. Take a look at the video interview.

You have received the award for the 2015/16 ABA League Top Prospect. How important is this award for you?

"It means a lot. It is a reward for my hard work. I truly played a wonderful season and as a result I earned myself the title of the best young players in the voting of head coaches, fans and ABA League commission. I am fully grateful to them and also proud of myself.”

Does the fact that the youngsters that have been selected to be the best in the regional competition usually made great careers - like Nikola Jokić who plays great in the NBA currently - increases the importance of the award?

"Even this season the competition was tough. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Marko Gudurić and many others are actually fantastic young players. The competition was in my opinion tougher than in the previous seasons. The award is therefore just another motive for me to continue to work hard.”

What is your opinion about the whole Cibona"s season so far?

"We played pretty well throughout the season. Our main goal was to avoid the relegation from the ABA League. We have accomplished that and came close to being one step away from the Playoffs. Everyone in the club is satisfied.”

What is your opinion of the ABA League in terms of the conditions for the development of young players?

"In my opinion ABA League is one of the strongest leagues in Europe. Every young player can be privileged to have a chance to compete in the ABA League and have a chance to undergo the basketball school, that ABA League is offering.”
