After analysis of the current situation and after consultations with the clubs, ABA League Presidency has expressed a firm belief in the correctness of the decisions taken at the ABA League Assembly, held on 20 March 2016 in Zagreb.

Taking into account the views of all parties, the imperative of ABA League clubs is to always have a chance of qualifying for the strongest European basketball competitions. Guided by these motives and by the interest of the further development of basketball in the region, ABA League has signed a contract with ECA related to club's participation in Euroleague and Eurocup, as the priority European competitions.

The decisions taken at the ABA League Assembly are not endangering the freedom of choice of the clubs to participate in other European competitions, as long as they are strictly following the ABA League Propositions.

As before, ABA League clubs will do everything to protect the interests of the clubs and to create ideal conditions for further development of all basketball subjects in the region, while taking into account the interests of the national teams.

ABA League appeals on all sides to be led by the same motives, considering that the clubs represent the elementary basis of the basketball development.
