Game 1 - The first step is always the hardest

No more waiting. It is finally here. The ABA League Finals! The battle for the championship rings starts on Thursday evening from Belgrade, where Crvena zvezda Telekom will host Mega Leks.

Story of the game: Crvena zvezda Telekom have a significant advantage before the start of the final series. First of all, they have the home court advantage, which is in their case a HUGE plus! Then, Crvena zvezda Telekom are in game rhythm, as they have recently played a tough Euroleague quarterfinal series against CSKA Moscow. Finally, the Belgrade crew have NO injured players! The whole group is fit and ready for the most important part of the ABA League season!

On the other side, Mega Leks have a lot of problems with injuries. Apart from Ognjen Jaramaz, Aleksandar Aranitović and Alpha Kaba, who have been sidelined for a while, the squad from Sremska Mitrovica will not be able to count on two more important players in the Game 1 - Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Nikola Pavlović! Both of them suffered minor injuries and will therefore miss the start of the final series.

Mega Leks haven't played any official games in the past month, but they have had time to fully recover and prepare for the big finals. Despite the all problems, the boys in pink and green will definitely give their best down on the court.

Matchup in focus: Stefan Jović vs. Nikola Ivanović. Two brilliant basketball minds. These guys make their teammates a better players. Jović and Ivanović have both had a fantastic season and they want to finish it in the same style. We will see who will win the first battle.
