ABA TV: Crvena zvezda Telekom – “Trophy is what we want”

Crvena zvezda Telekom head coach Dejan Radonjić and player Branko Lazić spoke about their expectations before the start of the ABA League Finals at the press conference held in Belgrade.

Dejan Radonjić, Crvene zvezde Telekom head coach:

"I see that they are trying to make us feel comfortable before the Finals (smile). But, we expected that (smile). After we triumphed in the semifinal series against Cedevita we have finally gained some peace inside the team. On the other side, Mega Leks showed a tremendous team character by making a huge upset against Budućnost VOLI in Podgorica, where no other team had triumphed before in this season. They have a great concept, a great head coach and many young players with great perspective. After everything they have achieved in this season, nothing can surprise me anymore. Still, we want to be better than Mega Leks and to win the trophy. We have no injured players, and we hope that we will open this final series with a win in front of our fans.”

Branko Lazić, Crvena zvezda Telekom player:

"I think that both teams have deserved a place in the Finals, especially Mega Leks which is the youngest team in the league, but which has showed huge quality. We will try to force our game rhythm from the very first minute and to enter the match the same as we have been doing it throughout the whole season. Will that be enough? Well, it will depend on the both sides.”
