Union Olimpija and Zlatorog have gone 1:0 up in the quarter-final series in Slovenian National Championship, after outscoring at home courts Tajfun and LTH Castings, respectively.

Union Olimpija have won the first battle of the ABA League sides in the quarter-final series against Tajfun and they did so by putting on a fantastic beginning of the second half. In Stožice, the guests led by 2 points at half time (39:37), but as the teams returned from the locker rooms the fans in the stands witnessed a completely different story. Olimpija won the third quarter by 7 points and in the end celebrated a 78:74 win. Sava Lešić was the top scorer of Union Olimpija with 28 points, while Sandi Čebular topped the scorers' list for Tajfun with 17.

Zlatorog were the better in their first playoffs test of the season, as they have edged out LTH Castings of škofja Loka by scoring almost 100 points. The game ended with the score of 98:86 and Aleš Pipan"s squad did majority of their job in the opening quarter, when they scored 33 points, whilst limiting the opponents to 20. Jamar Nathaniel Abrams was the top scorer of the game in the end with 26 points scored for Zlatorog. On the other side Robert Abramovič finished the game with 23.
