Union Olimpija and Helios Suns advance to semifinals

We know all four participants of the Slovenian National Championship Semifinals.

Union Olimpija and Helios Suns are still in the race for the national title. Both of them used the home court advantage in the decisive games of the quarterfinals and qualified for the next round of the Playoffs.

Union Olimpija managed to defeat Tajfun in Game 3 of the quarterfinals, mostly thanks to great performance in the third quarter. The squad from Ljubljana won that period by 18:8 and broke the resistance of their rivals. Union Olimpija will face Zlatorog Laško in the Slovenian National Championship Semifinals.

At the same time, Helios Suns prevailed over Rogaška after a big comeback. The hosts were trailing 11:22 after the first quarter, but they dominated the other three periods and scored a convincing win at the end. Helios Suns will play against Krka in the semifinals of the national championship.
