MZT Skopje Aerodrom have only lost four games in the domestic championship this season so far, so not many of the basketball fans expected them to slip in the first game of the finals, after previously sweeping the semi-final series against Feni Industri. But, Kumanovo had their own plans.
On the road in Skopje they have managed to upset MZT Skopje Aerodrom in a game, that could finish either way. The guests made the key difference in the final minutes of the game, after the teams entered the last quarter tied at the score of 58:58.
The final score was 87:84 in favour of Kumanovo and Bojan Trajkovski was the top scorer of the winning side with 32 points, while on the other side Đorđe Drenovac topped the scorers' list with 21.
