Krka and Zlatorog make first steps towards the finals

Krka and Zlatorog have defended their home court advantages in the opening games of the semi-finals of Slovenian national championships by beating Helios Suns and Union Olimpija, respectively, and have taken the leads in the series.

Krka and Zlatorog have defended their home court advantages in the opening games of the semi-finals of Slovenian national championships by beating Helios Suns and Union Olimpija, respectively, and have taken the leads in the series.

Krka have taken a 1:0 lead in the semi-final series over Helios Suns with a close home victory on home court, after the guests managed to make things interesting in the final quarter, which they won in the end by 10 points of margin. The final score in Leon štukelj Sports Hall was 83:78 and Jure Lalić was the one to lead the winning Krka side in scoring with 20 points. On the other side, Hugh Robertson Jr. scored 19, the most amongst the players of the visiting team.

In the other game of the semi-finals, Zlatorog have upset Union Olimpija with a convincing display on home court. Aleš Pipan"s squad did majority of the job in the opening half, in which they have prevailed by 9 points (41:32). In the second half, Union Olimpija just did not manage to bounce back. The final score of the game was 74:61. Former Igokea, Krka and Union Olimpija player Christopher Booker topped the scorers" list with 29 points for Zlatorog, while on the other side Dawan Robinson scored 13.
