Cedevita win Croatian National Championship trophy for the third time in a row

Cedevita are continuing to dominate their domestic club basketball scene, as they have won their second domestic championship trophy this season, after previously winning the Krešimir Ćosić Cup, by beating Cibona in the domestic championship finals and becoming the champions for the third time in a row.

Cedevita have become the Croatian national champions for the third time in a row, by sweeping the final series against Cibona with 3:0 in victories. Even in the third game Veljko Mršič and his players gave no chance to the opponent, as they have led by 10 points already at half time and did not let go of the lead until the very end.

Cibosi managed to cut the deficit to seven points by the end of the game, which ended with the score of 84:77. Ivan Siriščević of Cibona was the top scorer with 22 points, while for the winning side William Henry Walker achieved 20.

This is the second domestic trophy for Cedevita, which won the Krešimir Ćosić Cup earlier. In the ABA League they have reached the semi-finals, where they were eventually eliminated from the battle for the trophy by latter champions Crvena zvezda Telekom.
