2016/17 Euroleague, Eurocup team lists unveiled

A total number of 40 teams will participate in the 2016/17 season of Euroleague and Eurocup.

The Euroleague will feature 16 teams from nine countries, including Crvena zvezda Telekom which secured their place as the 2015/16 ABA League champion.

These are the teams which will play in the 2016/17 edition of the Euroleague.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Brose Bamberg, Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade, CSKA Moscow, Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul (Wildcard), EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, FC Barcelona Lassa, Fenerbahce Istanbul, Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul, Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, Real Madrid, Unics Kazan and Zalgiris Kaunas .

As far as Eurocup is concerned, there will be 24 teams divided into 4 groups, including Cedevita, Budućnost VOLI and Partizan NIS which secured their place throughout the 2015/16 ABA League final standings, while Union Olimpija received a wild card.

These are the teams which will play in the 2016/17 edition of the Eurocup.

AEK Athens, ALBA Berlin, Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, Cedevita Zagreb, Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, Dolomiti Energia Trento , Dominion Bilbao Basket (Wild card), FC Bayern Munich, FoxTown Cantu (Wild card), Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, Khimki Moscow Region, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod (Wild card), Partizan NIS Belgrade, ratiopharm Ulm, Stelmet Zielona Gora, UCAM Murcia, Unicaja Malaga, Union Olimpija Ljubljana (Wild card), Valencia Basket, Zenit St Petersburg.
