2016/17 ABA League Season - Budućnost VOLI

Big expectations, even bigger ambitions. Budućnost VOLI enter the new ABA League season with a clear goal - To write a new chapter in club's history.

Budućnost VOLI have never won the regional competition. They have never played the finals actually, although they were so close in several occasions.

In the 2015/16 campaign, the Blue squad were simply superb in the Regular Season, in which they claimed the 1st place on the standings with the overall score of 23 wins and only 3 defeats. But, Budućnost VOLI once again failed to go all the way to the end, as they lost the semifinal series against Mega Leks.

It was another big blow for this team, still not a single person in the club thought of giving up on the ambitious project. Instead, the club management started building a strong roster for the 2016/17 season.

Budućnost VOLI signed 8 new players this summer, including Marcus Williams, JR Reynolds, Nemanja Vranješ, Boris Savović, Zoran Nikolić, Nemanja Gordić, Petar Popović and Shawn James. The club kept some of the key players from the previous season like Suad and Sead šehović, Bojan Subotić and extended cooperation with super talented youngsters Aleksa Ilić, Vasilije Baćović, Ognjen Čarapić and Andrija Slavković.

Altogether, they will try to write a new chapter in history of Budućnost VOLI. They will try to go all the way to the end this time.
