Cibona will enter the 2016/17 ABA League campaign with a much different team than in the previous season, but their ambitions will stay the same as ever. To be the best.

Today's team: Cibona

2015/16 record: 11-15

Current preseason score: 3-0

Not long ago, Cibona were the best team in these lands. The Zagreb powerhouse won the regional competition back in 2014, but since then they haven't come even close to repeat that success. In the 2015/17 ABA League campaign, the Wolves had a negative overall record with 11 wins and 15 defeats, but they hope that this season will be better.

Many changes in the roster were made during this summer, but the most important thing for Cibona is that they managed to keep Ante Žižić! One of the best young centers in Europe was selected as the 23rd overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics, but he decided to stay in Zagreb and continue playing in the ABA League for at least one more year.

The club also kept talented players such are Žan Mark šiško, Nik Slavica and Karlo Uljarević, as well as two experienced shooting guards Nebojša Joksimović and team captain Marin Rozić.

Speaking about arrivals, Cibona signed 7 new players this summer - Croatian national team member Zeljko šakić, American guard Elijah Johnson, ex-Zadar player Domagoj Bošnjak, former student of Fort Hays State University Domagoj Samac and 3 super talented players - Paolo Marinelli, Andrija Ćorić & Emir Sulejmanović.

Also it is important to mention that the club did not make any change in the coaching staff, so Damir Mulaomerović will continue the job he started in the previous season.
