2016/17 ABA League Season - Partizan NIS
One bad season just cannot wipe out the entire glorious history that this club has. Partizan NIS enter the new ABA League campaign with a clear goal - To return to the top.

For the first time since they joined the regional competition, Partizan NIS failed to qualify to the Playoffs/Final Four. They finished the 2015/16 ABA League season at the 5th place in the Regular Season and therefore had no chance to fight for the trophy.
It was definitely a tough period for the club which is used to winning trophies, but the Belgrade powerhouse is now well determined to bounce back and show its true power.
Partizan NIS have significantly changed their roster in comparison to the previous season. Most importantly, they acquired new players quite early this summer, which gave enough time to head coach Aleksandar Džikić to meet with the newcomers and put them in the system.
Yes, head coach Džikić stayed in the club and that was the first part in creating a team for the 2016/17 season. Then, Partizan NIS started signing players...
Serbia national team member Stefan Birčević, former players of Metalac Farmakom Djordje Majstorović and Stefan Pot, two American guards Franklin Robinson and William Hatcher, experienced point guard Branislav Ratrkovica, ex MZT Skopje Aerodrom center Uroš Luković, talented forward Kenan Karahodžić... While the biggest signature came at the end when Novica Veličković decided to return to his club and help Partizan NIS in the 2016/17 campaign.
Together with Vanja Marinković, Mihajlo Andrić, Adin Vrabac, Miloš Koprivica and a few more youngsters who all remained in the club from the previous season, Partizan NIS indeed have a very promising squaq, which will aim for the very top of the regional competition.
