The famous basketball club from Zadar is heading toward another ABA League season with a new coach and with a very young group of players in the roster.

Today's team: Zadar

2015/16 record: 12-14

Current preseason score: 5-5

Zadar has played a major role in the regional basketball over the years. Although this club has not always been at the top of the standings, it has gained quite a reputation of a very, very good team, who plays exceptionally well at home court.

The well-known "Krešimir Ćosić" Arena turned out to be an unconquerable fortress for many teams in the previous seasons and the white crew from Zadar hope that it will be the same in the 2016/17 campaign.

Zadar will enter the new season with significant changes in the team in comparison to the previous roster. First of all there was a change of head coach, as Ante Matulović replaced Ante Nazor at that position.

Matulović will be able to count on several players from the previous season including Lovre Bašić, Ivan Marinković, Boris Barać, Domagoj Vrkić, Mario Špaleta and couple of very young lads who are yet to make first serious steps in senior basketball. At the same time, the club acquired 6 new players - club legend Jakov Vladović returned to Zadar this summer, then there is ex-Jolly center Kristijan Krajina, young guard Lovro Mazalin, Luka Tomas, Mislav Brzoja and finally Igor Marić, but he hasn't yet been registered for the new ABA League season.

Anyway, although it is too early to speak about any expectations from this team, be sure that people of Zadar will once again have the opportunity to watch good basketball at "Krešimir Ćosić" Arena.
