ABA League community fully prepared for the season’s tip-off

With the seminars for referees and statisticians in Belgrade, which followed the workshop for the PR officers of the ABA League clubs in Zagreb, the preparations for the forthcoming ABA League season are concluded. Everything is set for Thursday’s tip-off of the season.

In a pleasant atmosphere in Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, the seminar for the ABA League referees and supervisors was held under the guidance of Mr. Richard Stokes, the Euroleague Basketball's Director of Refereeing, which presented the new basketball rules and trends in officiating to the ABA League officials. They also got a chance to meet the new, recently appointed, ABA League Commissioner for Delegating Referees, Mr. Iztok Rems, which was accompanied by his closest co-workers, the President of Referees Commission Mr. Branko Jovanović and Secretary of Referees Commission Mr. Dragan Medan.

A day earlier the seminar for statisticians of the ABA League clubs was hosted by the Belgrade’s Faculty of Sports and the stats experts that are delivering the games to the basketball fans online got acquainted with all the novelties that they and the fans will meet in the forthcoming season. We are happy to announce that following the games through the renovated ABA League live statistics platform will now be even more exciting and simple.

The seminars followed the previously held workshop of the PR representatives of the ABA League clubs with the ABA League PR team at the league’s headquarters in Zagreb, where the strategy of the cooperation of the clubs’ and league’s communication departments has been confirmed. Together with our clubs, the ABA League will continue to bring basketball fans various quality and exciting contents throughout the season and beyond, as we have been doing it before, whilst adding a new experience for the fans – the ABA League Basketball Fantasy.

The final preparations have been done. Everything is set and ready for the start of the 2016/17 season, whose main and only objective is to be even the best than the previous one.
