The reigning ABA League champions Crvena zvezda mts are set to host MZT Skopje Aerodrom at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade and it will be an exciting battle of two teams with high expectations for this ABA League season.

ABA League 1st round, Friday, 30.10.2016:

CRVENA ZVEZDA MTS – MZT SKOPJE AERODROM

Where? Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade

When? 19:00

Story of the game: MZT Skopje Aerodrom have made a huge renovation of their this season’s ABA League squad, which is now packed with well-established names in the world of basketball, with Jeremiah Massey, Jure Lalić, Marko Simonovski being just a few of highly-estimated newcomers.

On the other side, Crvena zvezda mts have brought in just four reinforcements this summer to fill into the championship-winning team, but they have proven during the preseason period to be a fantastic added value. The results have confirmed everything. Zvezda played 8 preparation games recently and won 7 of them! That is saying enough about their expectations for the forthcoming season.

It will for sure be one of the greatest spectacles of the round what we are about to witness in Belgrade on Friday night!

Match-up in focus: Milko Bjelica is perhaps the most experienced guy in the Zvezda’s squad and during the summer, the player who has made a comeback to red and white jersey this summer, has proven to be the true leader on the court, both in terms of his statistical contribution, as in many other ways. On the other side, in the paint there is a proven ABA League veteran Jure Lalić, who was one of the strongest players in the league last season, playing for Krka. Which one will manage to overpower the other?

Head to head in regional league: In total 7:1; In Belgrade 4:0.
