Cibona cruised to victory in Laktaši

If the season continues for them the same way that it has started, Cibona will be one of the serious contenders for the top in the ABA League. They have proven it in the opening game of the season for them in Laktaši against Igokea, where they have outplayed their rivals.

Game recap: Cibona have put on a convincing display on the road in Laktaši to overcome their first round opponent Igokea. Damir Mulaomerović's squad have, especially thanks to their excellent frontcourt, turned the game around in their favour already in the opening 20 minutes when they were up by 11 points. In the second half Igokea managed to cut the deficit to only 4 points in 29th minute, but Cibona pulled away again and celebrated the first pair of points of the season.

Man of the match: NBA Draftee Ante Žižić has been proving his skills all game long in Laktaši, as he dominated the court in every aspect. He delivered 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks and one assist, collecting the valuation of 28 and creating a 13 points of advantage together with his teammates in 37 minutes that he spent on court. He deserved the man of the match honour!
