Eurocup: Defeats for Budućnost, Cedevita and Olimpija

Budućnost VOLI, Cedevita and Union Olimpija have suffered their second defeats this season in the Eurocup, while MZT Skopje Aerodrom did not appear in the second round.

For the second time in two rounds, Lietkabelis beat an ABA League team in an exciting ending. After being better than MZT Skopje Aerodrom by a point in the first round of the competition, they now beat Cedevita in Zagreb with the score of 80:76. Miro Bilan was the top scorer of Cedevita with 16 points, while Toni Katić added 12. This is the second Eurocup defeat of Cedevita this season.

In group C, Budućnost VOLI suffered a home court defeat in Morača against Unicaja with the final score of 86:62 in favour of the guests, which have been in front throughout the game. Marcus Williams led the way in scoring for Budućnost VOLI with 13 points, Boris Savović scored 12. After losing to another Spanish side Murcia in the opening round, Budućnost VOLI are still waiting for their first win after 2 games.

Union Olimpija are returning empty-handed from their road trip to Ulm, as the home Ratiopharm Ulm side were better with the final score of 87:82. Phenomenal performance of Brandon Jefferson, who scored 28 points, could not prevent the defeat of his team. Devin Oliver followed him in scoring with 15 points. Since Olimpija were defeated on home court by Lokomotiv Kuban in the first round they are still without a win this season in Eurocup.
