Third EuroLeague defeat for Crvena zvezda mts this season

Crvena zvezda mts suffered their third defeat of the EuroLeague season in the fifth round. In Kombank Arena, Belgrade, Baskonia, headed by former red and white Jaka Blažič, were better with the final score of 70:63.

Since the very beginning it was evident, that this Friday just wasn't Zvezda's night. Dejan Radonjić's squad were in front just once in the game – in the first minute when they went up by 1:0, but afterwards they fell behind and did not manage to recover.

Baskonia even held a 13-point lead in 19th minute, but the home side managed to make it an exciting encounter by the end once more. They had several occasions to threaten Baskonia's supremacy, but just did not possess enough energy to turn the game around.

The final score is 70:63 in favour of the guests. Marko Gudurić had 12 points for Zvezda and Marko Simonović followed him with 11.
