Unlucky Zvezda’s fourth EuroLeague defeat of the season

After a thrilling ending, Crvena zvezda mts were defeated in the sixth round of the EuroLeague season, on the road in Russia against Unics Kazan, that turned the game around in their favour in the last quarter.

Half-way into the game it looked like Crvena zvezda mts would take their third win of the season, on the road far away from their home in Kazan, since they were in front by 5 points at half time. To be precise, Dejan Radonjić’s squad led by 10 in the 23rd minute, but then just fell in the following 17 minutes of the game, let Unics Kazan get back into the hunt for the victory and celebrate in the dying seconds of the game.

It was Keith Langford that was the hero in the end. His 3-pointer with 16 seconds left on the clock turned the game around in favour of the home side, knocked the guests down and disabled them from getting back in front until the end of the game.

The final score was 65:62 in favour of Unics and Langford was also the top scorer of the game with 23 points. For Crvena zvezda mts, Nate Wolters led the way with 11 points, while Ognjen Kuzmić added 10.
