FMP start their tough journey, 1st opponent - Budućnost VOLI

Can FMP become the second team to defeat Budućnost VOLI in the 2016/17 ABA League season, or the squad from Podgorica will write down their 10th win in the championship? We will find out the answer on Sunday evening.

Story of the game: FMP are about to start their very tough journey in ABA League, as they will face the top 3 teams in the league in the following 3 rounds. The 1st opponent on that difficult journey will be Budućnost VOLI, while the Panthers are approaching this game with a new head coach. Branko Maksimović has replaced Slobodan Klipa and he will try to bring some new energy into the team, which suffered 4 defeats in the last 5 rounds.

On the other side, Budućnost VOLI have also changed head coach recently, as Ilias Zouros took over the team from Vlado Šćepanović and he wrote down a win on his debut in the ABA League last weekend. The Blue squad want to continue in the same rhythm, as their goal is to get back to the 1st place on the standings.

Match-up in focus: It will be interesting to see if young FMP center Dragan Apić will be able to match-up with much experienced Budućnost VOLI player Shawn James. Two of them will definitely fight a tough battle down in the paint, while only one of them will come out as winner.
