ABA League 13th round, Sunday, 11.12.2016:

CIBONA - KRKA

Where? Dražen Petrović Basketball Centre, Zagreb

When? 12:00

Story of the game: Two old ABA League rivals will open the Sunday’s action in the ABA Legue with the derby of neighbours in Zagreb, where Cibona will host Krka in the game that is of exceptional importance for both sides before the end of the first half of the regular season.

Cibona, currently sharing the fourth place in the standings, are trying to find the way to keep their place among the Playoffs candidates, while on the other side Krka are fighting hard to stay in the upper half of the standings. They currently share the seventh spot, together with Zadar, with five victories on their account, three less than Cibona have right now.

In order for Krka’s curve of success to turn upwards again, it is necessary for them to end the streaks that both teams have entered recently. While Cibona have won their last two games, Krka have lost their last four.

It will not be an easy task for the Novo mesto side, as they are travelling to Zagreb without Marko Luković and Darko Jukic. Cibona only have Ante Gospić questionable to appear, at the other end.

Match-up in focus: When Scottie Reynolds joined Cibona, brighter days came up for the Zagreb squad. The player confirmed that he can become one of the best point guards of the league, but so did his next rival on the other end – Matic Rebec! It will be the clash of currently the most prolific passer of the ABA League (Reynolds with 6.8 assists per game) and the second best (Rebec with 6.67 per game). Which one will be in the better mood this time around? Let’s wait and find out!

Head to head in regional league: In total 13:8; In Zagreb 7:3.
