ABA League 13th round, Sunday, 11.12.2016:
Where? FMP Hall, Belgrade
When? 17:00
Story of the game: FMP will host Cedevita in the clash of the 13th round in Belgrade and will try their best in order to upset Cedevita for the first time ever, when it comes to clashes of these two sides in the regional competition.
It is an important clash for both sides, as Cedevita are currently battling to strengthen their position in the battle for a Playoffs spot (they are currently occupying the fourth position together with Cibona) and FMP are trying their best in order to exit the danger zone at the bottom of the standings, as they only have one victory of advantage ahead of the last placed Karpoš Sokoli in the battle to avoid releagation after this season.
The chances for FMP do not look as hopeless as the current league’s standings would suggest, as Cedevita are coming to Belgrade without Scottie Hopson, Duje Dukan, Džanan Musa, Luka Babić, Darko Bajo and Lovro Buljević. On the other side, FMP have no injury problems whatsoever at the moment.
Match-up in focus: Ryan Boatright has only played two games for Cedevita so far in the ABA League and has already proven that he is a lethal weapon at the disposal of head coach Veljko Mršić. In November he had the highest average of points scored per game and will try to continue in a strong fashion against FMP. His opponent will be excellent pass-master Filip Čović, who will try to prevent him from doing so. Will he do it?
Head to head in regional league: In total 0:2; In Belgrade 0:1.
