EC: The last day of the Regular Season, Cedevita defending the 2nd spot

It's time for the 10th round of Eurocup, with three ABA League representatives going out at the European basketball stage on Wednesday evening.

Cedevita is the only ABA League club which will play in the next stage of the Eurocup. The boys from Zagreb scored 5 consecutive wins in the competition and climbed to the 2nd place of Group A. On the last day of the Regular Season, Cedevita (5-2 overall score) will try to defend that 2nd spot in the direct clash against Nizhny Novogorod (4-3 overall score), who is currently holding the 3rd position.

The match will be played in Russia, while it is important to mention that Cedevita won the previous head to head match by 92:77. So, if the Orange crew win, or lose by less than 16 points, they will remain at the 2nd spot.

At the same time, MZT Skopje Aerodrom and Budućnost VOLI are saying farewell to Eurocup for the 2016/17 season. Both teams have lost all chances of reaching the next stage, so the upcoming matches do not really have some big importance to them.

Anyway, Budućnost VOLI will face Bayern Munich away in the last round of the Regular Season, while MZT Skopje Aerodrom traveled to Spain where they will play against Gran Canaria.

Recall that Olimija Ljubljana have already finished their Eurocup journey for the 2016/17 season. The Dragons failed to book a ticket for the next stage of the competition.
