The falcons seeking a sweet revenge over Krka

In the first game of intense Sunday's ABA League schedule, Karpoš Sokoli will host Krka and seek their way towards the sweet revenge for a tough defeat in their first game of the season and also Karpoš's ABA League debut.

Story of the game: Karpoš Sokoli and Krka will open the 5-game Sunday’s ABA League programme and it is expected to be an exciting encounter in which the home side will seek their chance for a revenge over Krka for the painful defeat in their opening game of the season, when they were defeated by 17 points on the road in Novo mesto.

It was one-way traffic in Leon Štukelj Hall, but this time it would not be an upset at all if Karpoš Sokoli came out on top in the clash with the Novo mesto rivals. While Krka are on a five game losing streak currently in the ABA League, Karpoš Sokoli have won three of their last five ABA League games and have been undefeated at home court for the last three games, although their home-game schedule has been truly tough lately.

Besides the mentioned problems, Krka are coming to Skopje without Klemen Kužnik, Miha Škedelj, Matic Šiška and possibly their main star Marko Luković. On the other side, Karpoš Sokoli will miss only Igor Penov and maybe Goran Vrbanc.

The two teams therefore have all to play for.

Match-up in focus: Although they do not share the same playing position, it is worth mentioning that this time the fans will be able to witness two of the most attractive players of the league on court. While Zoran Vrkić has thrilled the basketball fans of the region with his monstrous dunks and has taken the first place in the last top five plays of the round, Matic Rebec is well known for his long range shooting skills and phenomenal assists. Which one will excite the crowd more this time?
