Will Cibona be the next victim of the Falcons in Skopje?

The next home game for Karpoš Sokoli is coming up and everybody is eagerly waiting to find the answer whether the Skopje side can arrange another major upset and knock down on their knees another playoffs candidate – Cibona.

Story of the game: Another big game is coming to Boris Trajkovski Arena, as Karpoš Sokoli, the revelation of the last couple of rounds in the ABA League, are about to host another playoffs candidate – Cibona.

The question that everyone are asking themselves right now is whether Dragan Nikolić can lead his squad towards yet another triumph at home court against the stronger rivals on paper. Let’s remember, they already did so with Cedevita, Budućnost VOLI, Mega Leks…

For the home side this game is of vast importance, as only one win seperates them from the very bottom of the standings and they desperately need to win in order to move away from the danger zone and a chance of being relegated. On the other side, Cibona are currently at the fifth place in the standings, only a win behind the fourth placed Budućnost VOLI and need to win badly in order to stay in the race for the playoffs ticket.

The first time the two sides met this season, Cibona won in Zagreb with the final score 102:79. However, since then they have lost their starting center Ante Žižić… This time around both teams have no injury problems whatsoever.

Match-up in focus: Two Americans will be in the limelight this time. While Kendrick Perry is starring at the side of Karpoš Sokoli since the season’s beginning, Cibona have raised the level of their performances significantly with the arrival of Scottie Reynolds. It will be interesting to see which of the two point guards would shine above the other one this time around.
