ABA League 26th round, Saturday, 11.3.2017:
IGOKEA – PARTIZAN NIS
Where? Laktaši Sports Hall, Laktaši
When? 17:00
Story of the game: In the 26th round of the season, a big game will take place in Laktaši. It will be all but a formality for both sides, since both Igokea na Partizan NIS still have a lot to battle for.
While Igokea are currently occupying the fifth place in the standings and need to win in order to make sure that this position will stay in their hands, Partizan NIS need to win desperately in order to maintain chances for their desired second place in the standings at the end of the regular season. However, they are not the owners of their own destiny, since they need Cedevita to lose the last game in order to take the second place even if they win.
Neither of the two sides will play in full strength this time. While Dragan Bajić will not be able to count on Darko Talić, Aleksandar Džikić’s squad are coming to Laktaši without Kenan Karahodžić and possibly Novica Veličković, Adin Vrabac and Jamont Gordon.
The first time that the two sides met this season, Partizan NIS were way better at their home court with the final score of 87:64.
Match-up in focus: There will be a showdown of fantastic scoring-prolific point guards on the court of the Laktaši Sports Hall, as James Robinson will take on William Hatcher. Which one will score more this time?
Head to head in regional league: In total 5:7; In Laktaši 4:2.
